This is a my first attempt to play an RPG with ChatGPT. During the session, ChatGPT will learn new rules on the fly (suggested by me) and will adopt them during the game. The suggested rules come from Apocalypse World of Vincent Baker and Meguey Baker.

Here, there is Part 1.

Our story begins with a group of survivors who have come together to rebuild society. They face challenges such as scarcity of resources, danger from mutated creatures, and possibly even hostile rival groups.

What roles would you like our characters to play in this new society? Are they leaders, scavengers, or rebels fighting against the new world order?

I am scaccia a wizard that can manipulate the weather

Great! You are Scaccia, a powerful wizard who has the ability to manipulate the weather. This ability would have been a valuable asset to the group of survivors, as they try to rebuild their world.

The group has discovered a hidden underground facility that may contain valuable resources and technology that could help them in their quest to rebuild society. However, the facility is guarded by dangerous mutated creatures, and the group needs all the help they can get.

As Scaccia, you have been asked to join the group on their mission to explore the facility. Do you accept the invitation and join the group on their dangerous journey?

As you all make your way into the facility, you quickly realize that it is much larger than you expected. The group encounters several traps and obstacles, but with your ability to control the elements, you are able to guide them safely through each one.

However, as you venture deeper into the facility, you sense a dark and ominous energy. Suddenly, the group is attacked by a group of mutated creatures, and a fierce battle ensues. Using your mastery over the weather, you unleash bolts of lightning and unleash powerful storms upon your enemies.

The battle is intense, but eventually, the group emerges victorious. They are able to retrieve valuable resources and technology from the facility, but they also discover that they are not alone in this world. There are other survivor groups, and some of them may pose a threat to their own survival.

What will you and the group do next? Will you continue to explore the world and gather more resources, or will you return to your base to fortify it against potential threats? The choice is yours.

As the group ventures deeper into the facility, you sense a dark and ominous energy. Suddenly, the group is attacked by a group of mutated creatures. They are fierce and relentless, and the group is quickly outnumbered.

With the safety of the group in peril, you focus your energy and call upon your mastery over the weather. With a flick of your wrist, you summon a bolt of lightning that strikes one of the mutated creatures, stunning it.

The other creatures turn their attention to you, but you are ready. With a loud roar, you unleash a powerful storm upon your enemies. Wind whips around you as you call forth more bolts of lightning, raining down upon the mutated creatures and striking them with devastating force.

Despite their ferocity, the creatures are no match for your mastery over the elements. One by one, they fall until the area is clear of any danger. The group is in awe of your power and they thank you for saving their lives.

However, the battle is not over yet. As the group continues deeper into the facility, they know that they must be prepared for more challenges to come. But with you by their side, they have confidence that they will be able to overcome any obstacle that comes their way.

I would like to introduce you to the concept of move in a RPG. I like the moves of the Apocalypse world of Vincent Baker. In order to know how the story will evolve, you need to do a move. When I make a move, I need to roll two d6 dice and sum their results. If the sum is 10 or more everything is ok and the story evolves in my favor. If the sum is equal or less than 9 and more than 6, the story evolves in my favor, but there is a problem. Instead, if the sum is equal or less than 6, something goes wrong.

I understand! Let's add some randomness and excitement to our role-playing game by incorporating the concept of moves and using the Apocalypse World of Vincent Baker's mechanics.

In this case, I'll also roll two d6 dice and add the results. Together, we'll determine the outcome of each move and see where the story takes us.

It stands at least eight feet tall, with mottled gray skin that is tough and scaly. Its body is muscular, with broad shoulders and powerful legs. Its arms are elongated, ending in razor-sharp claws that it uses to attack its prey. Its eyes are piercing and filled with a feral intelligence.

The creature's most notable feature is a set of bony protrusions that jut out from its back. These protrusions are covered in sharp spines, and they glow with a pulsing energy. The creature can manipulate this energy to create powerful blasts that it uses to defend itself against attackers.

You must be careful when facing this improved version of the mutated creature. Its abilities are much stronger than its previous form, and it will not hesitate to use them against you. But with your mastery over the weather, you are well-equipped to take on this challenge. Good luck!

OK, I try to charge myself with the elettrical static energy of the tunnel where we are and I cast a lightning bolt in order to burn the mutated creature (choose a name for this creature, please). I would like to use the concept of move above explained to choose the evolution of the story. Could you run and sum two d6 dice and let me know the result and the outcome?

The air crackles with energy as you summon a massive lightning bolt and cast it towards the mutated creature. The creature, named Sparkfang, is momentarily stunned by the attack, giving you a chance to strike again. With a fierce cry, you unleash another bolt of lightning, striking Sparkfang with even greater force. The creature howls in pain as its body is consumed by the electrical fire.

Sparkfang staggers backwards, its body smoldering. But it is not defeated yet. With a snarl, Sparkfang spreads its bony protrusions, creating a field of energy that deflects your next attack.

The battle between you and Sparkfang is far from over, but with your mastery over the weather, you have a significant advantage. You must continue to use your powers to outwit Sparkfang and defeat it once and for all.

You focus your power and summon a powerful gust of wind that lifts the nearby gasoline tank off the ground. You guide the tank with your magic, directing it towards Sparkfang. The creature senses the danger and tries to dodge, but the tank crashes down upon it with a resounding thud.

The gasoline from the tank spills out, covering Sparkfang in fuel. You quickly ignite the gasoline with another bolt of lightning, creating a raging inferno that engulfs the creature. Sparkfang howls in agony as the flames consume it, and in a few moments, it is no more.

You stand triumphant over the charred remains of Sparkfang. Your mastery over the weather has once again proven to be a powerful weapon in battle. The area around you is a chaotic mess, with the gasoline tank overturned and the ground scorched by your attacks. But you have emerged victorious, and the world is a little bit safer thanks to your bravery.

Just as you think you have won the battle, however, you realize that the gasoline has spread far and wide, creating a dangerous fire that threatens to engulf the entire area. You must act quickly to contain the flames and prevent further damage.

Perfect. You are the best. I would like to tell you the thematic move: DO SOMETHING UNDER FIRE. When my character does something under fire, or dig in to endure fire, roll+cool. On a 10 or more, He does it. On a 7–9, he flinches, hesitates, or stalls: you can offer him a worse outcome, a hard bargain, or an ugly choice. On a 6 or less, it goes wrong.

Understood, the "DO SOMETHING UNDER FIRE" move is a great addition to our story. Now, as the fire spreads, you must make this move to determine how your character Scaccia will handle the situation.

You begin to feel the effects of the heat, however, and your resolve begins to waver. You hesitate for a moment, considering whether to keep running or try to put out the fire using your magic. The situation is getting worse and you must make a quick decision.

Okay, got it. As you run through the tunnel with all your might, the wind you've generated pushes the flames away from you, keeping you just ahead of the inferno. You keep running, not daring to look back, until you finally burst out into the open air and collapse onto the ground, gasping for breath.

You've made it out of the fire, but you're not out of danger yet. You must find a way to put out the flames and prevent the fire from spreading further. The situation is critical and you must act quickly.

I would like to tell you another the thematic move: READ A SITCH When my character reads a charged situation, roll+sharp. On success, the character can ask you the questions. Whenever the character acts on one of yours answers, take +1. On a 10 or more, he can ask up to 3 questions below. On a 7–9, ask 1: where’s my best escape route / way in / way past? which enemy is most vulnerable to me? which enemy is the biggest threat? what should I be on the lookout for? what’s my enemy’s true position? who’s in control here? On a6 or less, ask 1 anyway, but be prepared for the worst.
